Official Results Show that the Turnout for the Commune Council Election Was More Than 80%

Phnom Penh: The official results of the National Election Committee show that more than 7.3 million people, equivalent to more than 80 percent, went to the polls for the 5th Mandate Commune/Sangkat Council Election on Sunday 5 June. This is according to the official data from the National Election Committee on Monday 6 May.

The 5th Mandate Commune/Sangkat Council Election 2022 was held on Sunday, 5 June, with 17 political parties participating in total. These parties competed to hold 11,622 commune council seats from 1,652 Communes and Districts nationwide with more than 9.2 million registered voters.
